BIO

Meghan Bailey is a Boston-based artist whose work has been exhibited throughout the Northeast. She is part of the Somerville, MA artist community and maintains a studio at 11 Miller Street Studios. Meghan holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University, a BFA in Painting from MassArt, and an MS in Library Science and Archives Management from Simmons University.

Meghan’s artwork explores stylized shapes derived from industrial detritus and the digital shift. Through gestural abstraction, she combines geometric patterns and vibrant colors that evoke hybrid forms within fractured landscapes.

As an archivist at the UMass Boston Archives, Meghan manages unique historical collections documenting urban planning, social welfare, social activism, alternative movements, community organizations and local history in Boston and neighboring communities.
